Background
Due to the overload of irrelevant inquiries requesting eligibility for a guarantee, the company decided to add a new feature to the website that allows it to filter potential customers and bring quality leads to the company.
Project Goals
- Create an intuitive, clear, and simple interface.
- Reflect on the different stages of the process.
- Request minimum details in order to receive a quality lead.
- Emphasis on convenience, with the ability to go back in the process.
- Provide feedback throughout the process in order to "encourage" the user to follow through to the next step.
Challenge
Turning one long and tiring form into an interface for filling in details that will feel simple, fast, and give the user feedback while requesting eligibility for a guarantee.
Wireframes
In the first step, the user can choose the desired guarantee amount and the system will calculate the refund accordingly. And vice versa, he can set a refund amount, and the system will show him the required guarantee amount.
In the second step, the user needs to fill in his business details.
Each previous step is saved with an edit option.
Although it was possible to put all the fields in one step, I decided to spread the fields according to steps (topics) in the form, and thus each stage only has a few questions.
When the user sees it compared to a long-form with 10 questions, it feels much simpler and faster
Usually data processing takes a few moments, so in order for the user to understand that the screen is not stuck and that the system is really calculating the data that was just entered, the loading happens with confirmation of each step of the form.
Not everyone wants to provide their personal details in a web form, but these are the necessary fields to complete the form.
Therefore, before we ask for personal details, we first give him feedback on filling out his form (if the initial check was successful).
After completing the form, the user receives a notification of successful registration, so he knows for sure that the company received his information.
